Assimilate live observations

Background: The current model requires a separate data-assimilation step or encoder to process live, potentially heterogeneous, observational data streams.

Question / Future Work: Future work should focus on the assimilation of live observations directly into the model framework to improve forecast skill, moving beyond reliance solely on pre-processed reanalysis datasets.
