Background: The SoftMimicGen system generates large datasets for deformable object manipulation by adapting existing, shorter human demonstrations through non-rigid registration.

Question / Future Work: Extending SoftMimicGen to support flexible task structures that involve multiple attempts or conditional transitions, moving beyond the current assumption of a fixed sequence of object-centric subtasks, is identified as a promising direction for future work.
