Bayesian flow field treatment

Home / Open Questions / Bayesian flow field treatment

Background: The current framework provides point forecasts and prediction intervals based on empirical cross-validation error distributions, but does not explicitly account for uncertainty in the estimated flow field parameters themselves.

Question / Future Work: A natural extension involves developing a fully Bayesian treatment for the flow-field model, which would allow for uncertainty quantification that explicitly accounts for parameter uncertainty in the speed function, trajectory functions, and relaxation rates.
