Generalizability of Crop-Specific Separability

Home / Open Questions / Generalizability of Crop-Specific Separability

Background: The feasibility of distinguishing organic and conventional farming systems using multispectral time series data depends on crop type and is influenced by spatial context and the joint training of related tasks.

Question / Future Work: The extent to which the crop-specific separability observed in the Bavarian study area, where environmental and agronomic conditions vary, holds true under different regional conditions and soil types remains uncertain. Future work should involve extending the analysis to multi-year and multi-regional datasets to assess the robustness of the classification performance.
