Background: Integrating specialized memory architectures, such as episodic memory, with large-scale pre-trained models used for general world knowledge presents a significant research opportunity.

Question / Future Work: A key future direction involves integrating the proposed episodic memory stack with foundation models to synthesize the benefits of structural, history-dependent encoding with the broad zero-shot generalization capabilities of models like Vision-Language Models (VLAs).
