Massive Cluster Gas Dynamics
Background: In very massive, compact star clusters ($M \gtrsim 6 \times 10^6 M_{\odot}$), gas retention in the presence of strong supernova feedback can significantly alter core dynamics through gas drag and Bondi accretion.
Question / Future Work: Investigating the precise influence of the virial velocity increase in increasingly massive but still compact gas-retaining clusters on the gas dynamical friction timescale, and how this interacts with potential additional effects like gravitational torques if the central gas collapses, requires further study.
